THE POSTMAN

The postman is an important public servant. He bring us letters, parcels, money-orders, happy as well as unhappy tidings. He look family in the light green uniform, a ready smile and a bundle of symmetrically arranged letters for distribution in the left hand. He is important to the society.

His duties are difficult and responsible. Particularly with regard to kampongs where the postman may have to pass through forest to reach it, he does his duty at great risk to his life. In summer or winter, in the dry season or in wet, in dark or in light, through woods or along well-laid streets, the postman must carry on and discharge his duties diligently and conscientiously.

Among all Government servants he perhaps the best behaved.
