GOOD COMPANIONS
GOOD
COMPANIONS
Man
is described as a social animal. He cannot live all alone. A lonely man is
either a saint or a beast. One feels the necessary of companions constantly at
all stages of one’s life. “Sorrow shared is sorrow halved and joy doubled”.
One’s pleasure will lose half their charm when there are no friends to share
them.
The
common saying is: Birds of a feather flock together. So a man can easily be
judged by the company he keeps. If he is often seen in the company of idle men,
he also naturally be looked down upon as an idler.
A
real companion, however, is difficult to find. Such a companion when fond
should be one to whom one can turn to for advice, comfort, encouragement and
help. He may not necessarily be learned or wise, but he will understand his
friend perfectly well and will not fail to impart to him courage and strength.
A good friend is the balm of our life.
