AN ACCIDENT

The bus came to a halt and I waited at the door for some passengers to alight. One young boy come rushing out of the bus in a great hurry.

As soon as got off, he darted right across the front of the bus. He did not even bother to whether the road was clear or not. I wanted to warn him of possible danger but the words never left me.

From the blind side of the bus, a motorcycle suddenly appeared and knocked right into him. He was flung backwards. The motorcyclist was thrown off his machine. It happened so quickly that all I knew next was that the two of them were lying on the road, motionless.

I ran over to see if I could help. They were both unconscious and there was blood on them. They were obviously injured. Someone flagged down a car which then took them to hospital.

I do not know whether they are alive or not. As for me I definitely will be very careful whenever I cross the road.
