A VISIT TO THE ZOO

During the second-term holidays, I had an opportunity to visit the zoo in Mandai in the company of a few of my classmates. The zoo is situated about 20 kilometers from the town.

On the day we visited, there were not many visitors. Being the first experience, I was thrilled to see animals, birds and reptiles which I had not seen before.

Most of the animals were either kept in huge cages or the animals like the lions and tigers were kept in by a high fence.

There in the zoo, I saw besides lions and tigers, ostriches, giraffes and huge pythons and rare birds or tropical Africa. Of all the animals, zebras interested me the most. They looked like donkeys but the only difference was that they had stripes which were very beautiful to look at.

Even more interesting, were the Polar bears, sea-lions and others.
