A CIRCUS SHOW

During the Chinese New year celebration, my cousin and I went to see a circus show. It was held in the Kallang Amusement Park. The circus show was held in a huge tent and since it was night time, the place was illuminated by hundreds of electric lights. This gave the place the appearance of a wonderland or a paradise on earth.

The show started at 7.30 P.M. At first the clowns did some funny tricks and made the audience laugh. This was followed by tricks performed by elephants, tigers, lions and moneys.

What attracted me most were the dangerous tricks performed by a small Indian girl. She was riding a bicycle on a thin rope and just below, fire was burning. A minute error in Judgment would mean instant death in the burning fire. Undaunted, the girl performed her feat.

I was very much impressed by the show and returned home quite satisfied.
